Dress Code
Students in grades K-5 are not required to change for gym. However, students ARE expected to where sneakers.
Students in grades 6-8 ARE expected to change for class (this is subject to change at the teacher's discretion). The proper dress attire for class includes a plain t-shirt of any color. Inappropriate graphics are unacceptable and the child will be asked to change. Sweatpants, shorts and leggings of any color are acceptable. Sneakers are the ONLY acceptable footwear.
Behavior
Physical Education is a class where students are allowed to exert energy in a controlled manner. Students are expected to behave appropriately at all times. Students are expected to respect their teachers, their classmates and themselves, as well as, the gymnasium itself and all of the equipment. We take pride in the gymnasium and would like the students to follow suit, as well.
Grading Policy
Students in grades K-4 are graded on behavior, participation and preparation.
Students in grades 5-8 are graded based on participation (60%), preparation (30%) and behavior (10%).
